<span lang="EN-US">A systematic study on the development of assessment instrument concept kinematics which is one basic concepts physics has not yet been conducted. This reported characteristics, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency regarding kinematics. review method used a approach based practical guidelines reviews by Petticrew Roberts PRISMA diagrams for process searching selecting articles, who reviewed 12 articles published between 1985 2021. The research findings show that mastery using multiple-choice formats, while others combine true-false formats. Almost all instruments widely have validity (content validity, construct validity) internal consistency reliability. However, predictive discriminatory temporal stability reliability reported. Other results indicate further assessments must pay attention to five important aspects: instruments, scopes specificity kinematics, conformity with intellectual level students, effectiveness assessment, fulfillment gaps. can help educators researchers choose develop an appropriate reveal students’ understanding kinematics.</span>
